It's shaping up to be a huge January for Arsenal.
A poor first half to the 2019/2020 Premier League season which cost Unai Emery his job back in November means his successor, Mikel Arteta, has a big job on his hands to get the Gunners in contention for a top four finish.
Some shrewd signings this month could be key to getting the north London outfit back on track.
Regardless of the money available to spend, Arteta is expected to bolster his squad in a bid to cut the gap on Chelsea, Manchester United among others in their request to return to the Champions League next season.
One transfer rumour which has certainly excited a number of fans is that of links to Ajax star Hakim Ziyech.
One of the standout players of the Dutch champions' excellent run to the Champions League semi-final last season, the Morocco international and here's what has been said so far about a January move to the Emirates for Ziyech.

Overmars' admission

"Hakim leaves when a good club presents itself," Overmars told De Telegraaf. "That happens, I think, because he is much more in the spotlight because of his great game in the Champions League than last year.
"Very large clubs are hanging around him.
"By the way, we promised Hakim a nice transfer on his arrival."

Ziyech's release clause

Given the speculation that Roma baulked at a €40m price-tag a year ago, many would have expected that figure to have increased by at least €15m following the season he's had.
However, that doesn't seem to be the case.
The latest reports from the Netherlands from De Telegraaf (via the Mirror) claim that the asking price for the attacker is in the region of £30m, with the player said to be eyeing a move to the Emirates Stadium.
